Our brief story encompasses joys, challenges and hardship in the call to serve God in missions. Pete currently serves the ministry here with Glacier Church in music. Pete & Fran have served with Youth With A Mission in Lakeside, since 1985, training and leading people through short term missions opportunities, here and overseas. Pete & Fran endeavor to be team players, cultivating unity and committed to finish well the task at hand-of “knowing God and making Him known”.
Reba Howard joined YWAM (Youth with a Mission) full time in 1999, serving at YWAM Montana, Lakeside until 2019 when she joined MBI (Mission Builders International) on the Lakeside base. Reba has served in many areas during her time in missions, including as a preschool teacher, IT manager, personnel director, and visa coordinator. She married Jason, who had joined YWAM in 1993, but Jason lost his battle with cancer in September of 2020. Jason and Reba have three kids. Reba is currently serving in the accounting office, as well as being a part of the LIFT (legal, immigration, financial, and tactical) team.
Ian and Maki serve with Converge in Japan. The Japanese people are one of the largest unreached people groups in the world, and less than one percent of Japanese people have a personal relationship with Jesus. Their hope is to be used to help strengthen and equip existing Christians to become disciples making disciples, while also reaching those who have never had an opportunity to hear the Gospel.
The mission of the warming center is "to save lives, link people to resources, and encourage dignity through low-barrier access to a warm safe place for those in need."
